On behalf of the entire committee, welcome to the University of Leeds Business School Society!

Whether a prospective or current member, potential or past sponsor, or simply curious about our offerings, thank you for visiting our website. I’m thrilled to share with you our exciting plans for the 2023-2024 academic year!

As a Society, our main aim is to create a community for all students at the University of Leeds, who want to grow their network here in the Business School and across Leeds, whether they study in the school or not. The society and committee has helped its students and graduates find work placements, internships and places on postgraduate courses at the most renowned firms and institutions across the UK, lending their interdisciplinary mindsets to the range of skills required to thrive in the workplace. From Management to Chemical Engineering to French to Psychology, our committee and society members are a testament to the holistically knowledgeable students that Leeds can bring to a multitude of fields.

As a Society, we rely heavily upon the invaluable support of our sponsors and partners. These partners provide various presentations on applications, commercial awareness, and business-specific updates, along with attending the LUBS Night of Professional Exchange. We believe in the strength of collaborating and regularly host events with several of the other societies here in Leeds including Women in Leadership, Leeds University Union Trading and Investment Society as well as Economics; all intended to gage the many interests of our diversified member groups.

This year we are also strengthening our bonds with the different faculties within the Business School to diversify the careers events we host. We aim to develop the employability and professional skills of our members in preparation for the workplace, we believe the aid of faculties and industry leaders across the UK are integral to these sessions.

We are also about having fun! Whilst we focus on bringing opportunities to our members we believe balance is key to the overall experience of a study. Our social host weekly events that are a great opportunity for members to grow their friendships and network here in the city of Leeds.
